Calypso is a growing gymnastics and children's activity provider delivering high-quality programmes across North London. Every week, we help hundreds of children build confidence, resilience and a love for movement in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
We're looking for enthusiastic gymnastics coaches to join our team across our community classes, school partnerships and competitive programmes.

About the Role
As a Gymnastics Coach, you'll deliver engaging, safe and well-structured sessions that inspire children of all ages and abilities.
You'll work as part of a supportive coaching team, helping every gymnast progress at their own pace while creating an environment where children feel encouraged, challenged and celebrated.
Opportunities are available across a variety of programmes, including recreational gymnastics, preschool classes, school clubs, squad training, holiday camps and special events.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver fun, structured and progressive gymnastics sessions.
- Adapt coaching to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and encouraging environment.
- Monitor gymnast progress and celebrate individual achievements.
- Prepare and set up equipment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Communicate professionally with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Support competitions, showcases and club events where required.
- Act as a positive role model for every child you coach.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for coaches who bring energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for working with children.
You'll ideally have:
- A recognised British Gymnastics coaching qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous gymnastics coaching experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and providing an outstanding experience for every child.

Essential Requirements
- British Gymnastics coaching qualification (or recognised equivalent).
- Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Working Hours
Sessions are available throughout the week, including:
- After-school clubs
- Evening community classes
- Weekend programmes
- Holiday camps
- Competitions and events
Hours are flexible and will be agreed based on your availability and experience.
