Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and practical Warehouse & Maintenance Operative to join our friendly, family-run business.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the operation of production machinery, moving stock and materials using warehouse lifting equipment, and carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment.
As a small family business, no two days are the same. The successful candidate will need to be practical, adaptable and willing to assist in different areas of the business when required.
We are happy to consider both part-time and full-time applicants. Working hours can be flexible and will be discussed at interview.
Previous warehouse, manufacturing or machine operating experience is desired but not essential. No formal qualifications are required—we're looking for someone who is practical, mechanically minded and keen to learn. Full training will be provided, including training in the safe operation of warehouse lifting equipment where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Move stock and materials using warehouse lifting equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment.
- Load, unload and organise stock within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Assist with general warehouse and operational duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing or machine operating experience is desired but not essential.
- Practical, hands-on and mechanically minded.
- Confident using hand tools.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Willing to learn new skills and undertake training.
