Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives across multiple construction sites. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies that ensure a secure working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Your proactive approach will help foster a culture of safety compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the company's health & safety strategy, policies and zero-tolerance PPE/compliance culture across all sites.
- Lead investigation, close-out and reporting of safety observations and improvement/prohibition actions raised by client HSE teams.
- Plan and deliver site audits, inspections, toolbox talks and inductions across all live projects.
- Act as primary H&S liaison for key clients, attending client review meetings and managing corrective action plans.
- Maintain and develop the company's SSIP SafeContractor accreditation and prepare for any additional accreditations required.
- Lead incident investigation, root-cause analysis and reporting (RIDDOR and internal).
- Deliver H&S training, toolbox talks and stand-downs, including company-wide briefings on policy changes.
- Manage relationships with waste and environmental compliance contractors and ensure site environmental compliance.
- Report directly to the Directors on H&S performance, risk exposure and compliance status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health and safety management within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to construction projects
- Skilled in report writing, documentation, and conducting root cause analysis of incidents
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and liaise with regulatory bodies
- Ability to lead investigations and implement corrective actions promptly

Pay: £40,000.00-£62,365.33 per year
