We are looking for a passionate and reliable chef to join our friendly kitchen team at our countryside pub.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys cooking fresh, hearty pub food in a relaxed countryside setting and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality dishes.
The role -
As one of our chef's, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a high standard across our menu, while helping to maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Responsibilities will include -
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
- Working across all areas of the kitchen, including prep, service and closing down
- Following recipes, portion control and presentation standards
- Ensuring all food is stored, prepared and handled safely
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Working efficiently during busy services hours
- Helping with menu preparation and specials where appropriate
- Minimising food waste and maintaining good stock rotation
- Following all food safety and health and safety procedures
About you -
We are looking for someone who is:
- Minimum of two years experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Passionate about good food and cooking
- Must be able to drive as no public transport routes run through this area
- Able to remain calm and focused during busy services hours
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking and organised
