Overview
We are seeking skilled Pipefitter Welders and Fabricators specialising in stainless steel TIG welding to join our dynamic team. This role involves precise fabrication, assembly, and welding of stainless steel pipework structures and other components, primarily utilising TIG welding techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various hand and power tools, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. Duties
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components with precision and consistency
- Fabricate, weld and assemble thin wall and SCH stainless steel pipework, sheet metal, and other metal structures according to technical specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication processes.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
- Measure materials accurately using basic maths skills to meet project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications
- Assist in the installation of pipe systems, ensuring proper fitting and secure connections.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel materials
- Strong knowledge of welding standards and practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe fitting, pipe welding, sheet metal work, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measurement and calculation tasks.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to welding and fabrication work.
- Previous experience working with sheet metal is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
