We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Develop comprehensive tender documents and assist in the tendering process to secure new projects
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, implementing effective cost control measures to prevent overruns
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to review budgets, change orders, and contractual obligations
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities for accurate billing and cost tracking
- Maintain precise records of all financial transactions, variations, and claims related to each project
- Identify potential cost savings opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent skills in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and team members
- A relevant qualification such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field is preferred
