- £28,000 per year dependant on experience and qualification for 32hours per week

We provide home care and social day clubs in the Harrogate and Ripon area commissioners. The care coordinator role will include care delivery if needed and you will be part of our on-call emergency out of hours duty team, which you will be renumerated for in addition to your salary.
Essential Requirements of the Care Service Manager
- You must be confident and experienced in using the computer have and knowledge of Databases, Spreadsheets, and Word Processing
- Have a pleasant and confident telephone manner with all enquirers such as potential people we may support, and their families and commissioners of our service
- Be able to lead a team and coordinate the delivery of high-quality care assessing and reviewing care package
- Ensure all new referrals are responded to in a timely and responsive way.
- Have the initiative to work by yourself but also be an efficient team member
- Be able to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Must be reliable and flexible
- Provide flexible cover for colleagues in the event of holiday and sickness including weekend, Bank Holidays
- Coordinate and attend meetings/training as convened as part of the senior management team
- Conduct appraisals, supervision and return to work meetings including disciplinary and capability and other people management procedures
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and record keeping and reporting to statutory agencies and bodies such as CQC and NYC
- Use our Birdie software system effectively and populate with data regarding people we support, and staff details ensuring confidentiality
- Demonstrate effective leadership and managerial skills
- Produce monthly staff newsletters and host bimonthly coffee afternoons for staff
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience of social care at senior or management level, preferably in domiciliary or supported living environment
- Experience of assessing and monitoring care delivery
- Previous Health and Social Care experience or nursing - Essential
- Level 4 NVQ in health and social care or related health care qualification - Desirable
- Computer Database experience - Essential
- Understanding of the 5 Key Lines of Enquiry and experience of CQC - Desirable
- Driving licence and own vehicle - essential
- Be able to work one Sunday each month - essential
- Be on call on a rotational management rota – essential
- Staff support and supervision experience – essential
- Be friendly, caring and compassionate individual
