We’re recruiting an Level 3 qualified mechanic at Preston Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £70k per annum including overtime (shift depending).
Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: 6:00 - 14:30, and week 3: 13:18 - 21:42. You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays (with two days off in the week).
We also have a permanent Night Shift Available Working Monday to Friday 20:30 - 06:15.

- Salary: £40,906 per annum plus a shift allowance of £90.21 per week when working the 13:18 - 21:42 shift. The Night shift attracts a weekly shift allowance of £135.32
- Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£53.66) or Sunday (£107.33 per shift) is applicable.

You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.- You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
- You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
A bit about you
- Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent)
- You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles.
- Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
- High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
- Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
