Brief details of position:
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced practical self-motivated individuals to work as a Mobile Multi skilled fabric engineer in our Reactive and Building Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned maintenance works across the country, a good working knowledge of Building Fabric Services will be required. Being well presented at all times and competent to provide technical advice when required to do so.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete fabric reactive and planned maintenance repairs across various contracts.
- Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks.
- Covering a variety of different tasks inclusive of builders works, joinery , plastering and small plumbing works.
- Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
- Undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development, to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development).
- Assist other trades as/when required.
- Be part of an out of hours call out rota as required.
Essential skills:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Carpentry, Basic Plumbing & Plastering/Decorating experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge including replacing sockets, light fittings, intercom/alarm systems.
- Trade Background & Qualifications.
- Extensive Knowledge in building fabric services.
- Extensive Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- Full clean driving licence.
Further details:
This is a mobile role and you will be required to travel to various sites as and when required. This would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required, a conscientious and reliable team player and someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful applicant will also be required to undertaken and obtain an Enhanced DBS check during the first month of commencement of employment.
