About the role
Work hours are generally part-time.
Mon-Fri: 3.30pm-7pm
Saturday and Sunday morning
Once qualified, successful trainees will be employed as swimming teachers at one of the following sites:

- Selby Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, Scott Rd, Selby YO8 4BL
- Harrogate Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, The Hydro, Jenny Field Dr, Harrogate HG1 2RP
- Skipton Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, 21 Gargrave Rd, Skipton BD23 1UD

Shortlisted applicants will be given the opportunity to find out more about the swimming teacher opportunity at an informal virtual meet and greet session and interview that will take place after the closing date. You don't need any prior qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training, although we are accepting applications from those who are halfway through their swimming teacher training or already have their level 1 or 2 qualifications.
There may be an opportunity for Swimming teachers to complete other qualifications e.g. lifesaving qualification (Pool Lifeguard). Swimming Teachers will be required to sign a training agreement with a commitment to work for Active North Yorkshire for a minimum of two years.
