Receptionist / Resident support
Our hotel is currently operating as a temporary accommodation for vulnerable adults who are awaiting permanent housing.
Responsibilities to include:
- Checking in new residents, including completion of the Housing Benefit forms, going over accommodation rules, and providing any other information as required,
- Ensuring hotel systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date and correct,
- Liaising with a variety of organisations such as Glasgow City Council, Police Scotland, social work and charities,
- Communicating with the management, reception, maintenance and housekeeping teams, working together to find solutions,
- Assisting residents where possible, providing residents with organisations details that can help them in need,
- Keeping an eye on CCTV cameras, checking names against the system before handing out keys, etc.
Skills:
- A caring individual with the goal of helping others
- Previous experience in customer service
- Organisation and time management skills
- Previous administrative skills in hotel systems is beneficial but not essential (training will be provided)
- Confident speaking on the phone
- Be fluent in English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Glasgow G1 3RB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Reception: 2 years (required)
