Administrative Assistant
Location: Shared Resource – Onsite (LE14 3BQ)
Salary: £27,350 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Reports to: Initiatives Manager

About the Role
We're looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Administrative Assistant to become the backbone of our busy office.
This is a brand-new role, giving you the opportunity to work across several areas of the business including Office Administration, HR , Commercial (Estimating), Marketing and be the gate keeper for our social media channels. No two days are the same, so if you enjoy variety, solving problems and getting stuck in, you'll fit right in.,
You'll be someone who loves being organised, enjoys helping others and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves when things get busy. In return, you'll gain exposure to different parts of the business and have the chance to learn, develop and grow with us.
What You'll Be Doing
Office Support
- Be the friendly first point of contact for calls and visitors.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, deliveries and couriers.
- Keep the office stocked with stationery and supplies.
- Help keep the office running smoothly.
- Pitch in with other tasks as the business needs.
HR Support
- Support new starters by preparing contracts, induction packs and welcome information.
- Assist with recruitment through Indeed and other job platforms.
- Arrange interviews and communicate with candidates.
- Support the HR Manager with day-to-day administration.
- Maintain confidential employee records in line with GDPR.
- Order and issue uniforms and PPE.
- Keep training records and the company training matrix up to date.
- Book training courses and assist with Health & Safety administration and accreditations.
Commercial Support - Tender Administration
- Log new project enquiries.
- Prepare digital and printed tender packs.
- Print drawings and technical documents.
- Maintain organised filing systems and tender trackers.
Estimating Support
- Input planting schedules into estimating spreadsheets.
- Add supplier pricing to draft estimates.
- Measure quantities from drawings to support tenders.
- Provide general administrative support to the Commercial team.
Marketing Support -Google Ads and Social Media
- Manage, review and report on our Google Ads Campaigns.
- Support with reviewing social media posts.
- Encourage content provision and .
- Maintain organised filing systems and tender trackers.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- At least two years' administration experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Great organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and stay organised.
- Positive, reliable and happy to get involved wherever needed.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Able to handle confidential information professionally.
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to work on-site at LE14 3BQ.
Desirable
- Previous HR administration experience.
- Experience supporting commercial or estimating teams.
- Familiarity with business software and document management systems.
