The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum (for long-term roles).
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, creativity and academic achievement.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
What Excell Supply Is Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of reading and writing.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- The right to work in the UK.
