Job Title: Experienced Chemical Production Operative (Early shift)
Hours of work: 02:00am - 09:00am Monday to Friday
Job Summary: Assist with the manufacture and production of chemicals; producing high quality products to meet our customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities: (but may not be limited to)
- The manufacture, packing and labelling of products.
- Operating automated and manual machinery, mixing vessels and reactors safely – following all procedures outlined.
- Follow manufacturing methods to produce products that are in specification, efficiently and safely.
- Record all additions, levels and batch numbers via a handheld barcode system.
- Carry out stock transfers, using the barcode system.
- Ensure all products are packed off to the correct level in the correct packaging; they are in good condition and accurately labelled.
- Maintain accurate records of products that have been packed off.
- Carry out QC tests diligently and bring any abnormal deviation to the Production Managers’ attention immediately.
- Report any issues with equipment or raw materials to the Production, or Maintenance Manager.
- Quality – work to the ISO 9001:2015 standard as set out in our quality manuals.
- Recording in the relevant books of the following tasks: packing off, labels, and cleaning logs.
- Problem solving – resolve minor issues that may arise during production, and communicate with maintenance and QC/Technical.
- Maintain and adhere to a high-standard of housekeeping at all times, to enable a safe working environment for all.
- Wear minimum PPE requirements at all times on site.
Required Key Skills and Competencies:
- FLT and Reach truck license.
- A good standard of written and verbal communication.
- Numerical and IT skills; able to use handheld devices and PCs.
- Problem solving skills, with the ability to adapt where necessary.
- An excellent team player.
- GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English.
