Overview
Thomas Tunnock Ltd are actively seeking dedicated Backshift Production Operatives to join our food production environment. The successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of food products, adhering to strict food safety standards and operational procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in food production within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor various production equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
- Follow HACCP protocols and maintain compliance with food safety standards at all times.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the production area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the implementation of food safety procedures throughout all stages of production.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is desirable.
- Experience with machinery operation is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining safety and quality standards.

27 Hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 15:30 - 21:00
Friday: 14:30 - 19:30
- £12.71 per hour for the first 6 months increasing to £13.00 per hour thereafter.
- Weekly attendance bonus of £8.43 (part-time) paid (subject to attendance at work).
- Regular weekend overtime offered and paid at double time.
