Corporate Facilities Services are a national provider of Cleaning, Security and Support Services specialising in shopping centre facilities management and customer service.
We currently have a vacancy for a Security Guard at The Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton-In-Ashfield working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Duties will include but not limited to: locking/unlocking of the centre, completing site patrols, manning the control room/CCTV monitoring, assisting the sites customers and tenants, supporting the centre management team.
Start date will be 18.08.26 with training to begin on or around 13th/14th August
Full training and uniform provided.
Overtime available.
Candidates MUST have an SIA Door Supervisors or Security Guarding licence as a minimum and a SIA CCTV Licence would be preferred and will need to be obtained within 12 weeks of start of employment if not held (options available for loan agreement if required to obtain the CCTV licence).
Duties:
- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
Experience:
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Trained in CCTV operation (preferred).
