Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have the ability to diagnose and repair various types of machinery and vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
- Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is required for this position.
