Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver materials to various sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting, to maintain efficient stock movement within the warehouse
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Support warehouse activities such as stock organization, inventory checks, and general housekeeping duties
- Follow all health and safety protocols during driving and warehouse operations to create a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience or knowledge of building materials, to ensure the correct materials are collected and delivered to sites
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles or warehouse work is highly desirable
