We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and daily experiences.
- Support the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained across the setting.
- Uphold health and safety policies, including hygiene protocols and safeguarding procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development in young children.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the nursery environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for facilitating outings or transporting children when necessary.
- A caring attitude combined with patience, creativity, and organisational abilities are essential for success in this role.
