Now Education are seeking a Full time Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher for a large Secondary School in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
I am on the hunt for a passionate, kind, friendly, dedicated person who has a desire for working with children and who wants to have a positive impact on children's learning journeys.
As a Cover Supervisor you will be delivering the pre planned work set by the absent Teacher. Managing the classroom activities ensuring all students are on task and completing the work. Assisting where you can and supporting the students at the best of your ability.
Your responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Managing the class and ensuring all students are on track and engaged with the work set.
- Provide support to the students providing guidance when necessary.
- Follow the lesson plan.
- Manage the behaviour of the class, following the school's behaviour policy.
- Foster creativity and encourage students to participate in the work set.
- Be adaptable to the schools needs.
- Build good rapport with all members of staff.
- Comply with all school policies.
- Be a positive role model to students.
- Collect all completed work after the lesson and return it to the appropriate person.
- Reporting back as appropriate of any incidents/behaviour difficulties.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have experience working with children in a Educational setting
- Have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to manage a classroom
- Maintain flexibility to work with different age groups and different classes
- Be punctual and have exceptional timekeeping skills
- Be able to handle different behaviours and assist accordingly.
