Whether you have previous experience, a level 3 qualification in children and young people or are just very interested in working with children, then this is the job for you!
If you are looking for a job where no two days are the same and where you will be helping young people to get the most out of life, then this is definitely the right job for you!.
We are looking for additional team members to join us at one of our very successful children's homes in Haverhill, where you will be working with an experienced and caring team looking after our young people aged between 10 - 19 years. This home has been rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and the Manager is looking for staff who are committed to continuing this level of care.
There will be an element of report writing and, therefore, good English and communication skills are required. Overtime is generally available for those wishing to enhance their pay further.
Working under a Senior member of staff, you could be teaching a young person how to shop, cook simple meals, catch a bus or simply enjoy a day at the seaside or at a theme park. Our staff really do make a difference to the lives of our young people and a 'can do' attitude and a positive outlook on life are essential elements of the post.
We provide an extensive package of training which will not only help you in your role but will also lead to a nationally recognised qualification if you do not already hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care (young people).
Are you who we are looking for?
Our salary range is high and so are our expectations but you will receive support at all times both from your Manager, Seniors and team-mates! You will train both formally and 'on the job' working towards your Level 3 Diploma (paid for by us).
Starting salary is £28,121.00 per year. However, as soon as you have completed the Diploma Level 3, your salary will rise to £32,635.00. Overnight Sleep-Ins are paid at an additional rate.
In addition, overtime is frequently available for those looking to enhance their wages further and there is an annual bonus payable to those who have completed all their weekend duties (terms and conditions apply).
You will be a 'people person', ready to take responsibility and work on your own as well as being a part of a strong team.
