We are instructed by a prestigious, full-service firm to recruit a Corporate Senior Associate into their thriving Birmingham office. This is a standout opportunity to work on high-value, complex transactions alongside leading partners in a collaborative and ambitious national corporate team.

Our client is a Top 50 UK law firm with a strong national presence and an excellent reputation across the corporate, commercial, and private capital markets. The Birmingham office is a key hub within the firm’s national corporate offering, advising a broad range of clients including owner-managed businesses, PLCs, private equity houses, and institutional investors.
The Role
As a Corporate Senior Associate, you will play a key role in advising on a broad range of corporate matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions (domestic and cross-border)
- Private equity transactions
- Management buy-outs and buy-ins
- Corporate restructurings
- Shareholder agreements and general corporate advisory work
You will have significant client contact, supervise junior team members, and work closely with partners on strategic transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing complex corporate transactions from inception to completion
- Drafting and negotiating transactional documentation
- Providing strategic corporate advice to a varied client base
- Supporting business development initiatives and networking activity
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Birmingham corporate team
About You
- 6+ PQE (guide only) with strong corporate experience gained at a reputable firm
- Demonstrable experience leading M&A and transactional matters
- Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to play a role in team growth
