Alloa Community Club is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Key Development Officer to lead and develop our thriving peer-led youth club based at The Hive in the heart of Alloa.
Working with young people aged 12–17, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where young people can build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen connections within their community.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead our established youth club while driving the next phase of the project, introducing exciting new employability opportunities through a young people's community café, operating on Wednesdays and Fridays.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people develop confidence, independence and practical life skills, while supporting them to become active members of their local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a peer-led youth club for young people aged 12–17.
- Support young people to shape and lead activities through meaningful youth participation.
- Develop positive peer relationships and strengthen community connections.
- Coordinate and oversee the young people's community café, helping participants develop employability and customer service skills.
- Recruit, support and supervise volunteers and young leaders.
- Build partnerships with local organisations, schools and community groups.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and youth work best practice are maintained.
- Monitor outcomes and contribute to project reporting for the Young Start Grant.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people in a youth work, community development or similar setting.
- Is passionate about youth participation and empowering young people.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Can motivate and support young people from a range of backgrounds.
- Is creative, proactive and able to work independently.
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, equality and community development.
Experience in employability programmes, volunteering or community cafés would be an advantage but is not essential.

Salary: £20k p/a
