Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and well-kept. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating welcoming environments for visitors, staff, and the community. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate various power tools such as hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and leaf blowers efficiently and safely.
- Support seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal, or soil preparation to keep grounds accessible and safe year-round
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture, preferred but not essential.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and small machinery safely, preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required
- Relevant NPTC certification, i.e PA1 &PA6
