Role: De Snag Painter
Salary: Up to £18.73 PH – £28.10 PH DOE (OT at x1.5)
Hours: Monday to Thursday – Day Shift (37 hours a week)
Location: Coventry
We are currently recruiting for an experienced De Snag Painter to join our client’s busy paint department at their production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for rectifying paint defects, repairing minor damage, and ensuring vehicles are finished to the highest quality standards within a fast-paced production environment.

De Snag Painter Responsibilities
- Carry out de-snagging and rectification work on painted vehicles and components
- Repair paint defects, blemishes, scratches, and minor damage to a high standard
- Prepare surfaces prior to paint application, including masking and local blow-ins
- Ensure all vehicles meet strict quality standards before leaving the paint department
- Work efficiently within a production-line environment and meet required deadlines
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the paint shop and work areas
- Follow all health & safety procedures when working with paints, solvents, and equipment
- Support team members and assist with additional paint shop duties when required
De Snag Painter Requirements
- Previous experience as a De Snag Painter, Vehicle Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, or Paint Prepper
- Experience working within an automotive, commercial vehicle, or industrial paint environment
- Strong understanding of paint preparation, masking, and localised paint repairs
- Good knowledge of health & safety procedures within a paint shop environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable, and willing to adapt to new processes when required
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment
