Responsibilities

- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, and suggest wine or drink pairings to enhance the dining experience
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and cleanliness protocols
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization
- Upsell menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant sales
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly by checking in regularly and responding to special requests or concerns
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are most important
- Familiarity with serving techniques, food safety regulations, and basic food preparation is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and order accuracy
- Experience with kitchen operations or culinary environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods
