We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbers to join our team on a subcontract (CIS) basis, working across a range of Local Authority properties, including schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities, offices, and other public sector buildings. This is a long-term opportunity for a reliable, professional plumbers who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship within occupied and sensitive environments.

- Rate: £27.00 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday (with overtime available)
- Work Area: Torbay, Newton Abbot, Teignbridge and Exeter
- Projects: Local Authority schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities and public buildings
- Start: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial plumbing installations and maintenance.
- First and second fix plumbing.
- Installation and replacement of sanitaryware and associated pipework.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Pressure testing and commissioning of systems.
- Working safely within live environments with minimal disruption to building users.
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site housekeeping.
- Liaising professionally with site managers, caretakers, facilities managers, and clients.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS Skilled Worker Card.
- Proven commercial plumbing experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own hand tools and PPE.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Right to work in the UK.
Essential Site ComplianceApplicants must hold, or be willing to obtain:
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Working at Height Certificate.
- Face Fit Certificate (where required).
- COSHH Awareness.
- Fire Safety Awareness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (advantageous for work in schools and healthcare facilities).
- IPAF (3a & 3b).
- PASMA.
- Emergency First Aid at Work.
- Water Regulations (WRAS) Awareness.
- Legionella Awareness.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Confined Space Training.
- Basic Electrical Awareness.
