Purpose and Key responsibilities:
- Interface with the company MES (Factory Logix) system to create, update Systems assembly works instructions and routings.
- Assist with creation and updating of other production works instructions and routings.
- Review and Ensure customer requirements are correctly documented and implemented.
- Ensure integrity of all shop floor data / documentation.
- Interface with the company ERP (Nav) system where necessary.
- Resolve component / BOM queries and changes where necessary.
- Execute NPI (New Product Introduction) tasks as appropriate.
- Execute PCN (Product Change Notice) and ECN (Engineering Change Notice) as appropriate.
- Provide assistance within the Engineering and other departments where necessary.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and 3rd parties.
- Assist with day to day issues where necessary.
- Assist, coach & train team members with new or more difficult work.
- Liaise with and assist production with any issues or queries.
- Identify and solve problems where appropriate.
- Work with the Engineering team to drive continual improvement activities to improve & innovate manufacturing processes, systems & documentation.
- Ensure that Customer, Industry & Engineering standards and procedures are developed and maintained.
- Carry out any other task as appropriate.
- Any other duties requested by your manager which is within your capabilities and in the interest of the business.
- Essential skills:
- Previous experience of working within an Electronics manufacturing environment
- Previous experience of PCB and Electronic assembly
- Previous experience of creating Works Instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated and use of own initiative
- Strong communication and ability to work independently and within a team Recommended Technical Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience of importing and changing Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Use of PCB Gerber data
- A good knowledge and understanding of electro / mechanical manufacturing technology
- Previous experience of working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
- Previous experience of working with Aegis (MES)
- HNC/HND in Electronics
- Degree in Engineering / Electronics / Manufacturing (Desirable)
