Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. Working Hours
MONDAY-FRIDAY 7AM-3PM
Duties
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records
- Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ensuring the workspace complies with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assisting with deliveries
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Experience operating forklift trucks is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock management tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks
