Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Staff to join our team at a new Italian restaurant in Bath.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food, hospitality, and Italian cuisine. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of food preparation, kitchen organisation, and food safety, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment for our guests.
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applicants with or without experience, as full training will be provided for motivated candidates who are willing to learn and grow within the role.
This paid position is ideal for someone looking to develop their culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Support the kitchen team in preparing fresh Italian food
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Support the serving staff during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages
- Help with deliveries, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen team by performing assigned tasks promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is preferred but not essential
- Applicants with or without experience are welcome to apply
- Full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients is advantageous
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment will be beneficial
- Experience in Italian cuisine is a plus, but not required
- Experience in serving or front-of-house roles can be an asset but is not mandatory
- A genuine interest in food, Italian cuisine, and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: £12.71-£17.09 per hour
