Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Digital Skills Trainer to deliver high-quality digital skills training within the community. This role involves supporting adult learners through one-to-one sessions and small group workshops, helping them build confidence and independence in essential digital tasks.
Key Responsibilities
● Deliver digital skills training to individuals and small groups across the community.
● Facilitate workshops on topics including:
o IT basics
o Setting up and using email
o Using the NHS App
o Safe use of social media
o Online banking and budgeting
o Online safety
o Job searching and online applications
● Conduct learner needs/initial assessments to tailor support effectively.
● Create and maintain Individual Learner Records (ILRs).
● Support learners in progressing to accredited qualifications or employment opportunities.
● Maintain accurate records and update the CRM system.
● Build strong relationships with training providers, delivery partners, and stakeholders.
● Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of learners with disabilities or additional learning requirements.
● Record and maintain ongoing commitment to own continuous professional development and complete all mandatory training
● Contribute to standardisation activities and continuous improvement of delivery
● Prioritise the safeguarding of all learners, embedding online safety and awareness of the Prevent Strategy within all aspects of delivery
● Comply with all of Colebridge Trust’s policies, procedures and values

EDUCATION/
TRAINING
Hold an appropriate subject or professional qualification (IT/Digital)
Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or equivalent.
Level 3 AET/PTLLS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
Assessor Award
Level 2 in English and Maths
RELEVANT
EXPERIENCE
Proven knowledge of subject area (Digital/IT)
Minimum 1 year of experience training/teaching in adult education.
Experience in supporting adult learners with Special Educational Needs
Industry related work experience

Effective interpersonal skills
Skilled in engaging and motivating individuals who may be disengaged from learning or lacking confidence
Good administration and organisational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team
Committed to continuous improvement and CPD
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative in a community-based delivery environment
Ability to deliver person-centred support, adapting approaches to meet individual learner needs
