This vital role involves coordinating transportation activities, optimizing logistics processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. As a Fleet Manager, you will leverage your expertise in transportation management systems and supply chain logistics to drive operational excellence, enhance vehicle utilization, and support our commitment to reliable service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to maintenance schedules
- Oversee transportation management systems to plan routes, monitor vehicle locations, and track deliveries efficiently
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline shipping, receiving, and distribution processes
- Utilize data entry skills to update fleet records, maintenance logs, and inventory databases such as AS400 or SyteLine accurately
- Analyze fleet performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation
- Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams using professional phone etiquette and clear messaging
Experience
- Proven experience managing a vehicle or transportation fleet within a logistics or supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics principles
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) coordination and supply chain workflows
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as AS400 or SyteLine for data management
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights
- Outstanding communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective typing speed for data entry tasks
Pay: £80,000.00 per year
