Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (8 Weeks)
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work if required)

Due to a planned operation for one of our team members, we're looking for an experienced Confectioner to join Barry's Home Bakery on an 8-week fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on role within our busy production bakery, producing a wide range of fresh cream cakes, celebration cakes, traybakes, sponge products and confectionery for our retail shops and wholesale customers.
What you'll be doing
- Producing and finishing a range of fresh confectionery products to company recipes and specifications.
- Filling, decorating and finishing cakes to a consistently high standard.
- Maintaining excellent product quality and presentation.
- Working efficiently to meet daily production schedules.
- Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times.
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and compliant with bakery standards.
- Working closely with the wider production team to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working as a confectioner, baker or cake decorator in a commercial bakery.
- Experience working with fresh cream, icing and cake finishing.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality products.
- The ability to work at pace without compromising standards.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety.
