Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team within a reputable care home environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm and respectful environment
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to relevant healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the care home setting
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clear understanding of care needs
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff members to promote professional development
- Medication adminstration.
Experience
- Previous experience working within a senior care or care home setting is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of care plans, regulatory requirements, and best practices in elderly care
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with residents, families, and colleagues
- IT literacy for managing electronic records and documentation effectively
- Driving experience or possession of a valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
