Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting practices and experience with various accounting software. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the organisation’s financial processes. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
- Collaborate with external accountants or auditors during audits or financial reviews
- Organise and file financial documents systematically for easy retrieval
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisational setting
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A recognised qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is desirable but not essential
Pay: £250.00 per week
