Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Café Assistant/Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items, ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other light snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions efficiently using the POS system.
- Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, addressing any queries or special requests promptly.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality environment.
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling light snacks or meals.
- Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Pay: £12.21-£15.04 per hour
