NHS Fife is seeking a highly motivated, resilient and people focused individual to join our existing Support Services management team based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy as an Assistant Support Services Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for a leader to support the operational management and delivery of domestic services in line with the National Cleaning Services Specification. Working closely with Support Services Manager, Deputy and Assistant Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective and patient centred services.
You will be proactive in providing positive team and person-centred approach to leadership with the ability to engage and support the Domestic Services team and fostering positive working relationships with other team members and wider staff within NHS Fife.
You will have experience of large staff group people management including managing staffing resources, attendance and performance in line with NHS fife values.
You will be required to ensure compliance with Once for Scotland and NHS Fife polices, infection control and Health and Safety Standards investigate incidents, compile written reports whilst managing competing priorities. A person with strong organisational and prioritisation skills along with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast paced environment would be well suited to this post.
Excellent standards of written communication, implementation of electronic systems and a desire to develop a digital workforce are required for this post and therefore a sound working knowledge of MS Office applications is essential.
A knowledge and understanding of cleaning practices is required for this post and previous large scale cleaning experience and use of mechanical cleaning equipment would be desirable.
As Domestic Services is a 24/7 service, there is a requirement to cover other shifts (dayshift, backshift, nightshift and weekends) which can be at short notice to cover absence.
