EXPERIENCED WOOD MACHINIST WANTED
Grays of Fenton – Stoke-on-Trent
We’re looking for an experienced Wood Machinist to join our furniture manufacturing team at our Fenton factory.
This is a hands-on role for someone with solid experience working with hardwoods and softwoods who is confident setting up and operating spindle moulders and other woodworking machinery.
The role will involve:
- Working with a range of hardwoods and timber
- Setting up and operating spindle moulders
- Operating a range of woodworking machinery
- Cutting, shaping and machining timber accurately
- Setting and checking machinery for different jobs
- Working accurately from measurements and job requirements
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Working safely and keeping the machine shop organised
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a wood machinist is essential
- Experience working with hardwoods
- Confident setting up spindle moulders
- Good knowledge of woodworking machinery
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Furniture manufacturing experience would be an advantage
Hours: 40 hours per weekPay £12.71 per hour, Location: Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent
We manufacture furniture right here in our Fenton factory and are looking for an experienced machinist who takes pride in producing quality work.
