About the role
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Collection & Delivery Driver to join the team at Townhill Laundrette.
Our collection and delivery service is growing, with customers including Airbnb and short-let hosts, local businesses, salons, restaurants and households.
You’ll be responsible for collecting customers’ laundry, bringing it safely back to the laundrette, sometimes putting it in the machines and setting them up and delivering clean, professionally finished laundry back to customers.
This is a customer-facing role, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in providing a great service and representing our business professionally.
What you'll be doing
- Collecting laundry from customers at agreed times
- Delivering clean laundry back to customers
- Loading and unloading laundry safely
- Checking collection and delivery details before setting off
- Handling laundry carefully to prevent damage, loss or mix-ups
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Taking payments where required
- Keeping accurate records of collections and deliveries
- Following our collection and delivery procedures
- Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable
- Reporting any issues and customer queries back to them team
- Occasionally helping with laundry or other laundrette duties when required
The ideal person
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual – our customers depend on us turning up when promised
- Friendly and approachable
- Professional and polite with customers
- Organised and able to follow a route and schedule
- Comfortable working independently
- Physically fit enough to lift and carry laundry bags
- Careful and trustworthy when handling customers' belongings
- A confident driver with a clean, safe driving style
- Comfortable using a smartphone, WhatsApp and navigation apps
- Flexible and willing to help the wider team when needed
Experience
Previous experience in delivery driving, courier work, hospitality, cleaning, laundry or customer service would be useful, but isn't essential.
What matters most to us is having the right attitude, being dependable and taking pride in doing a good job.
Full training will be provided on our laundry processes, collection system and customer service procedures.

Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable access to a suitable vehicle
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry laundry bags
- Smartphone for navigation and communication
- Right to work in the UK
- Good level of reliability and punctuality
