Could your next career move be an island away?
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and inspirational Registered Manager to lead one of our established nursing homes on the Isle of Man.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior care professional currently working in the UK who is ready for a new challenge – professionally, personally and geographically.
Our group employs around 400 people across multiple locations, providing care and support to residents throughout the Isle of Man. We are an established private care provider with a strong commitment to quality, our residents and the people who deliver their care.
Our nursing home has approximately 50–60 beds, creating the opportunity for an experienced manager to lead a substantial service while still knowing the residents, families and team personally.
The role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of the home.
You will be responsible for creating a culture in which residents receive excellent, person-centred care and colleagues feel supported, valued and able to do their very best work.
You will:
- Provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership.
- Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure consistently high standards of resident care and experience.
- Maintain strong clinical, regulatory and safeguarding standards.
- Work closely with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Lead continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Manage staffing, resources, budgets and operational performance.
- Develop a positive culture of accountability, teamwork and professional development.
- Build strong relationships with families, colleagues and the wider community.
We are looking for someone who is confident enough to lead, compassionate enough to listen and ambitious enough to make a real difference.
About you
You will ideally be an experienced Registered Manager, or Deputy Manager or senior care professional with a strong track record in nursing care.
You will bring:
- Proven leadership and management experience within a care environment.
- A strong understanding of quality, compliance and safeguarding.
- Excellent people-management and communication skills.
- The ability to lead and develop large teams.
- Strong organisational and operational skills.
- A commitment to person-centred care.
- The confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
- Energy, resilience and a genuine passion for improving people's lives.
You will need to meet the relevant requirements for registration as a Registered Manager in the Isle of Man.
Why move to the Isle of Man?
Let's be honest – relocating is a big decision.
But what if your next career move could also give you a better quality of life?
The Isle of Man offers the opportunity to build a rewarding senior career while living somewhere with a very different pace of life.
Imagine finishing work and being minutes from the coast. Swapping long commutes and congested roads for short journeys. Having countryside, beaches, mountains and spectacular coastal scenery on your doorstep.
Island life without being cut off
The Isle of Man is an island, but it is very much connected to the UK, with regular air and sea services.
Family and friends can still visit, and trips back to the UK are entirely achievable – while you get to enjoy everything the Island has to offer when you're home.
More life outside work
Shorter journeys. Less congestion. Beautiful surroundings. A strong sense of community.
For many people who relocate to the Isle of Man, one of the biggest changes isn't simply where they live – it's how much more time they have to enjoy living.
A lifestyle that rewards getting outdoors
Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, running, sailing, fishing, exploring the countryside or simply having a beach or coastal path nearby, the Island offers an exceptional outdoor lifestyle.
And if you're looking for somewhere to raise a family, the Island offers a safe, community-focused environment with a genuine sense of belonging.
Relocation support
We understand that moving to an island is a significant step.
For the right candidate, we offer a relocation package of up to six months' accommodation, giving you time to settle into your new role and explore the Island without having to make every relocation decision immediately.
We want to make your move to the Isle of Man as straightforward as possible and will discuss the available relocation support with you during the recruitment process.
What you'll be joining
You won't be joining a small standalone operation.

We believe our people are our greatest asset. We want managers who are proud of their homes, proud of their teams and proud of the care they provide.
