Overview
We are a private residential property management company with a growing portfolio of rental properties across Kent and Surrey. We are looking for a reliable, experienced and multi-skilled Handyman to join our team on a zero hours basis.
This is a flexible role suited to someone who enjoys varied work across multiple properties. Hours will vary week to week depending on our maintenance requirements, with work available on an ongoing basis across our managed portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general property maintenance and repairs to a high standard
- Carpentry works including door repairs, fitting shelves, skirting boards, door frames and general joinery
- Garden maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Painting and decorating
- Assisting with end of tenancy works and property refurbishments
- Reporting any significant maintenance issues or safety concerns to the property manager
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, cleanly and to a professional standard
- Travelling between properties across Kent and Surrey as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in a similar handyman, maintenance or trade role
- Must be aged 25 or over
- Full UK driving licence and own reliable vehicle
- Strong carpentry and general building skills
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Good communication skills — able to liaise with tenants and property managers professionally
- Ability to problem solve on site with minimal supervision
- Own tools
