Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Yard Person with Valeting duties to join our team. This role involves maintaining the yard area, assisting with general site duties, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the yard is tidy, clean, and safe, while also valeting motorhomes and touring caravans as needed. Duties
- Grounds maintenance and cleanliness of the yard area, including mowing, weeding, sweeping, tidying, and waste disposal
- Valeting motorhomes and touring caravans prior to collection by customers
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
- Perform basic janitorial tasks to keep communal areas tidy and hygienic
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to visitors and clients
- Conduct routine safety checks of the yard and report any hazards or maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work or yard maintenance is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is required; experience driving various vehicles is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects when necessary
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
