Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to excellence in kitchen operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and working with a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Must be willing to work across all shifts as required , breakfast / lunch / evening.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- be knowledgeable about food production processes to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources
- Enforce safety procedures and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen environment
Experience
- Proven experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Good background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across diverse cuisines
- Demonstrated skills with the ability to work independantly
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings
- Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality establishments is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience serving customers directly or managing front-of-house operations is advantageous
