Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Stylist (hairdresser) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional hairdressing services, combined with strong customer service skills and a flair for styling. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise, mentor junior staff, and contribute to creating a welcoming salon environment. The Stylist will be responsible for providing high-quality haircuts, colour treatments, and specialised styling while maintaining excellent client relationships. A background in barbering, hair ups and makeup application is highly desirable. This position is fully paid and involves working in a professional and friendly setting.
Duties
- Deliver a wide range of hairdressing services including cuts, colour, styling, and specialised treatments such as hair up
- Provide personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles and treatments
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the salon environment
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and maximise revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client check-in, and payment processing
- Mentor junior stylists and apprentices, sharing expertise to foster their professional development
- Assist with store management tasks such as stock replenishment and maintaining salon organisation
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and personalised service
Skills
- Proven experience as a hairdresser or stylist with a strong portfolio of work
- Knowledge of store management practices within a salon setting
- Barbering skills are advantageous for offering diverse grooming services
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages
- Experience in front desk operations including scheduling appointments and handling payments
- Mentoring abilities to support the growth of junior team members
- Strong communication skills to ensure clear understanding of client preferences and expectations
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
