Duties
- Assist roofers with setting up work sites, including scaffolding and safety barriers
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to support roofing tasks
- Support heavy lifting and material transportation around the job site
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of roofing components
- Aid in cutting, shaping, and fitting materials using carpentry, masonry, or plumbing skills as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Basic construction experience or familiarity with building sites preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
- Willingness to learn roofing-specific skills such as working with schematics and welding
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols and detail orientation
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Nice-to-have skills include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, or experience with roofing projects
