Overview
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester/Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet legal standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance tasks as required, including brake checks, tyre replacements, and exhaust system repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks accurately and safely.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
- Assist with vehicle inspections, road tests, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and services carried out.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or MOT tester with relevant certifications.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £12.71-£16.13 per hour
