Overview
We are looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Sales Administrator to join our growing sales team.
This is a varied role providing day-to-day support to our Sales Account Managers and customers, helping to ensure enquiries, quotations and orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
You will be an important point of contact for our customers, assisting with enquiries, preparing quotations, processing sales orders and keeping customer and opportunity information up to date within our CRM system.
The role would suit someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who enjoys working in a busy commercial environment. Previous experience within sales administration, customer service or an internal sales environment would be beneficial.
There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their commercial and sales skills and progress within the business over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sales Account Managers.
- Respond to incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and issue customer quotations accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer sales orders and ensure order information is entered correctly onto our systems.
- Assist customers with product availability, pricing, lead times and general order enquiries.
- Liaise with internal departments including Purchasing, Accounts and Warehouse to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Liaise with suppliers where required to obtain pricing, availability and product information.
- Follow up outstanding quotations and customer enquiries when required.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact and opportunity information within HubSpot CRM.
- Ensure customer communications, activities and relevant information are recorded accurately.
- Assist with monitoring outstanding orders and keeping customers informed of delivery updates.
- Support the Sales Account Managers with the preparation of larger quotations and customer opportunities.
- Help resolve customer queries and issues promptly, escalating where appropriate.
- Develop a good understanding of our products, suppliers and customer base.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider sales team as required.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- A customer-focused approach and willingness to provide a high level of service.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Experience using a CRM or ERP system would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in sales administration, customer service, internal sales or a similar commercial role would be beneficial.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM and/or Sage 200 would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer
- £28,000–£30,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday working schedule. (1.30pm finish on a Fridays)
