Personal Assistant / Carer vacancy in Lavenham, Sudbury.
Looking for reliable, caring and trustworthy person/s to join our small team who provide 24h care for my 22 year old disabled daughter.
Katie has cerebral palsy with many medical conditions/complications, she is completely reliant on assistance for all her needs, including hoisting, personal care, medication, PEG feeding, regular chest physio, nebulisers and nighttime ventilator and oxygen.
She is a very happy individual who just requires support, company and friendly interaction, but she loves books, going out in her car, walks in her wheelchair, time in garden, watching tv, music and playing with her toys.
We have a part-time position available hours/times/flexibility to be discussed at interview. This is an employed PAYE position, so not self employed. Driving licence preferred/required (unless within walking distance). Must be trustworthy, enhanced DBS will be checked, experience not essential as all training will be given for right person.

Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and personal care.
- Supporting with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records
- Driving/ attending to support with appointments, social activities or outings using Katies personal vehicle.
- Maintaining clear communication with family, and other team members to ensure consistent care.
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication
- Basic skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
