Based at Ravenscraig Park in Kirkcaldy, RSS Countryside Management Ltd are an ambitious organisation that are keen to grow and develop their business. As a result, we are looking to grow our team and engage an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to work within our contracting business.
Through our contracting business, we currently provide forestry and grounds maintenance activities across Fife and beyond with both public and private sector customers,
Responsibilities:
- General grounds maintenance within a variety of settings
- The operation of associated machinery such as tractors, mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters
- Deal with customers in both the public and private sector and therefore good communication skills are essential
- Undertake wider grounds maintenance activities as directed
- Work with minimal supervision as part of a small team
- Work safely and prepare appropriate risk assessments
The post is full time and permanent based on the successful completion of a 3 - month probationary period. It is also based on a 36-hour working week, although some flexibility may be required depending on specific projects and workload.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential
A minimum of two years practical work experience in land management and/or forestry
Full clean driving a licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Working knowledge of basic Microsoft packages – outlook, word and excel
Desirable
City & Guilds NPTC Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Operations or equivalent
City and Guilds Level 2 Safe use of Brush-cutter and trimmer or equivalent

Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
Be in good health and able to undertake the often physically challenging activities required of this type of role for example, manual handling, walking through densely wooded areas
