Job Title: Multi-Skilled Production Operative

Fabritec Furniture is a leading manufacturer supplying high-quality furniture to the Office, Educational, Hotel, Residential, and Healthcare sectors. We are seeking a flexible and adaptable employee to fill a multi-skilled role, supporting various functions within our production facility. This is a dynamic role that requires working across various departments, including, Product Assembly, Cleaning, and Packing. Training will be provided, but candidates with experience in production or warehouse environments are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Assembly:
- Assemble various furniture components to produce finished goods.
- Ensure all products are built to specification and meet quality standards before dispatch.
Cleaning and Quality Control:
- Remove excess edging from boards and prepare materials for the next production phase.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Clean and maintain boards, ensuring they are free of defects or damage.
Packing and Dispatch:
- Prepare finished products for packing and dispatch, ensuring items are securely and correctly packaged for delivery to customers.
Working Hours:
- Standard hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30.
- During peak periods, working hours may increase to 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:30.
- Two 15-minute unpaid breaks.
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting Rate: £12.71 per hour.
- Further training and progression opportunities may become available over time within a stable team structure.
- Overtime opportunities available at enhanced rates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- GCSEs or equivalent in Design Technology, Information Technology, or Mathematics are preferred.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment using hand tools or similar machinery is highly advantageous.

- Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail.
- Capability to focus and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
